Mesotherapy for Skin Rejuvenation

Developed in 1952 in France by Dr. Michel Pistor, Mesoteapy involves the injection of small amounts of various homeopathic medications, and other natural substances, into the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin.

Though it is used to treat various problems, Mesotherapy is primarily used as a way to reverse the effects of aging on the skin in reducing wrinkles and sagging; especially of the skin of the face and neck.

What Does Mesotherapy Involve?

Initially, a series of ten treatments, given weekly, over a ten week period is run.  For long-lasting results, maintenance therapy is recommended, which usually consists of three or four sessions given once or twice a year.

How Does Mesotherapy Differ from Botox Therapy?

Botox is made from a powerful neurological poison called botulinum toxin while mesotherapy uses nontoxic homeopathic medications that are made from plants.  Botox works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles beneath the skin while Mesotherapy works by stimulating the production of natural collagen and actually promotes healing of the damaged and age-effected skin.

Are the injections the only part of our rejuvenation program?

In addition to the injections, we use herbal and topical products that augment and enhance the effects of the injections and also act to help maintain the improvements produced by the injections.

These are all included as part of your treatment package.

Is Mesotherapy Expensive?

Compared to Botox treatments, Mesotherapy is very affordable.  Botox injections run from $300 to as much as $700 for a single area of the face or neck.  To treat multiple areas of the face can run in to the thousands.  With Mesotherapy, your entire face and neck can be treated for what it would cost to treat only a couple of areas with Botox.

Will my health insurance pay for Mesotherapy?

Health insurance does not cover any cosmetic procedures, including Mesotherapy.

How can I get more information about Mesotherapy?

If you have any questions, we offer a free 15 minute consultation with the doctor.  This can be done in person at our office or over the phone.  If possible, we recommend a personal visit the office so the doctor can see the areas you may want treated.  That way he can give you a more accurate idea as to what you can expect from your Mesotherapy treatment.
