If you live outside New Mexico or the Albuquerque area, so that it is not practical for you to come in to our office, you may schedule a phone consultation. Please complete the New Patient Entrance Forms on our New Patient page and either fax (505-296-0914) or mail them to us (Dr. Vernon Redd, 10801 Lomas Blvd. NE, Ste. 100, Albuquerque, NM 87112) so that we receive them at least one day prior to your scheduled visit.
Your first consultation will take approximately one hour.
Follow-up phone and in-office consults usually last 20 minutes but may be scheduled for longer periods if needed. We encourage you to book your appointments at least one week in advance.
We will give you a reminder call or email prior to your appointment. Dr. Redd will call you at your appointment time.
Please print and fully complete the New Patient Entrance Forms found on our New Patient page and bring them with you to your first appointment.
Please bring any recent lab test results you have (from within the past 6 months) and a list of any current medications or supplements you are taking. You do not need to physically bring the supplements or prescriptions, just a list.
I have an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account). Can you supply me with the information I need in order to submit a claim?
Many of our patients use their FSA accounts and we are happy to help you with your FSA claims. Please let us know when you arrive at your first appointment that you will need documentation to submit and supply us with any necessary forms your FSA or HSA plan requires. You will need to remind us at each appointment. We will supply you with the information needed. Please allow us sufficient time before the annual deadline to be able to provide these forms.
In our experience, regular health insurance plans do not cover Functional and Nutritional Medicine treatments. Though chiropractic care is covered by most insurance plans we do not participate in any of these plans. However, our fee for chiropractic care is about the same or even less than most insurance plan co-pays.
We feel that health care should be between the patient and the doctor, without interference from third party payers. By not being involved with insurance companies we are able to save our patients and ourselves from the arbitrary and intrusive decisions of others who have no direct interest in your health. Our direct fee-for-service arrangement also frees us from the typical contractual agreements that prevent physicians from offering reduced prices on laboratory tests and other services.
We’re a direct pay-for-service, primary portal of entry practice. What this means is we get to spend more time with you. We believe that one of the most important services a physician can give is to really listen to their patients, and this arrangement lets us do just that. Neither we nor our patients have to jump through the hoops of a traditional insurance based health care practice. No forms, no hassles, no problems. We love it, our patients love it, and we think you will too.
Dr. Redd is not a medical doctor; he does not service medical emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, you must contact your primary care physician, dial 911 or go to the nearest Urgent Care Center or hospital Emergency Room.
