Thyroid Lectures - Do You
Have Hidden Thyroid Problems?
Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 2:00pm - FREE to Public
Juan Tabo Library
3407 Juan Tabo Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87111 - 505-291-6260
One in
thirteen Americans has a thyroid disorder and over half of these are
unaware that their thyroid is the reason they don’t feel good! Those
that know they have a thyroid problem are likely on medication but
many of these still have symptoms. When their doctor checks their
thyroid and tells them everything is normal they wonder why they
feel so bad and what else might be causing their symptoms. There are
answers to these questions.
At this lecture we will tell you just what is going on. We will
cover the following things:
• Why you feel bad even though your thyroid tests are normal.
• Why your thyroid medication may not be enough to help you and what
options for treatment
there are that DO work.
• Why your doctor may have missed the fact that your thyroid really
is your problem.
• The correct tests that will tell you the whole picture
• The three major types of thyroid disorders and why they are often
misdiagnosed and what can be done to treat them.
These are the more common symptoms of a thyroid disorder:
Fatigue
Cold hands and/or feet
Can’t lose weight
Depression
Constipation or infrequent bowel movements
Lack of motivation
Thinning hair
Irregular heart beat
Night sweets
Nervous or emotional
Don’t like warm rooms or weather
Insomnia
Headaches
Mental fog or sluggishness
If you have any of these symptoms, you probably have a thyroid
disorder, EVEN IF YOUR LAB TESTS SAY YOU DON’T.
The doctor’s presentation will last about 30 minutes and then he
will answer questions.
